Sanctuary
We are excited to announce that we have secured an incredible piece of land on which to build our first honeybee sanctuary. We will begin building in the spring/summer of 2011! We could not be more delighted about the land, which is ideal for the sanctuary. It is secluded, far from any major sources of pollution, with fresh,
clean water and temperate climate.
The sanctuary itself will be hexagonal; approximately 3/4 of an acre of fenced-off area that will be filled with medicinal plants and herbs chosen as bee forage. There will be pathways within the sanctuary with places to sit, meditate, observe and be.
Three to six beehives will be located within the sanctuary, and, at the very center will be a small, one-room structure that will be dedicated to sound healing, deep study with the bees and plants, teaching, and heart-centered awakening.
As a sanctuary, we honor the sacredness of all life and we intend to walk the path of beauty, love and gratitude with balance.
